Our waterside studio has the finest view in St. Ives, just yards from the harbour side with full, unobstructed views of the bay to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond.
After a painstaking 18 month refurbishment to the highest standard, The Balcony Studio opens for couples in July 2022.

We have created the most romantic and stunning bedroom in St. Ives. As you wake in our modern whitewashed four poster bed, simply open the electric curtains to reveal the most amazing view from your bed and sleep with the waves crashing at your feet.

Original beams, stone walls and timbers and been restored to create a unique property like no other, that you will remember forever.
The Spa at The Balcony Studio
Behind an original romantic porthole looking out to Godrevy Lighthouse, lies The Balcony Studio's stunning Spa.

The centrepiece is a magnificent William Holland Alvius Spa bathtub. Large enough for 4 and made from tin to reflect Cornwall's rich tin heritage it is a very special place to relax. Let the spa jets do their magic, as you look up through the ceiling glass panels into the bedroom above.

Walk in from the beach, and hang up your Wetsuits in our dedicated Wetsuit Room with handmade in Cornwall, copper drying racks where you can wash off the sand. Step from there and under our couples dual rainfall showers in our tiled wet zone, or get straight into our spa bath and let the jets relax you.
Relax in our Snug
If there is a storm raging outside, there is nowhere better to chillout than the Snug at The Balcony Studio. Exposed original stone, and ancient beams complete with modern 4K TV (with Netflix), Apple TV and Sonos audio make our comfortable snug the perfect spot to relax. We have retained many original features in this space, and enhanced them with modern touches like glass balustrades, and light glass panels in the eaves of the house to create a magical space.
Kitchen & Breakfast Bar
The beautiful fitted Kitchen at The Balcony Studio has everything you need if you prefer to stay home and cook a romantic meal.

SMEG Fridge / Freezer, Wine Fridge, Induction Hob, Dualit appliances and everything else you need to cook a dinner at home if you chose not to walk to one of the many restaurants that are close by.
The Balcony
The wooden cantilever balcony is very old and a famous feature of the waterfront of St. Ives.
​
While it is perfectly safe to use, it does require a certain degree of dexterity to access. It is a listed feature of the property and is accessed by climbing out over a knee stone lintel that forms part of the original thick stone wall. The listing prevents any amendments being made to the balcony, or the stone wall / lintel therefore it is a unique historical feature of this property, and St. Ives.

The balcony is not to be used by young children or any pets. During the winter months, we reserve the right to remove planks to allow high waves the ability to run up through the balcony. It will be unable to be used if that is done.
